Career planning

Career planning might save you from the frustration that sometimes comes with refusal. Since very few people get hired for their dream jobs immediately, it is useful to think ahead instead of focusing only on the present.

After a thorough self-analysis you will have a realistic image of which jobs would suit you. Most likely there will be a number of jobs you would like to do. You might find, however, that there is one job you would love more than anything.

If you have got a job in mind you would love to do, think of related occupations. Think of ways to build up relevant experience. Are there any courses you could attend in order to boost your CV?

Once you have thought these questions through, you will be able to draw up a realistic career plan. Write down in about five steps how you are planning to reach your dream job and how much time it might take you to get there.
